Located within the campus of the University Institute of Management Studies, Chandigarh University. Originally planned for three separate buildings, the three different functions were stacked vertically in this project to economize on land and resources. The form arose from the intention to have a building with strong geometrical silhouettes, and which has no front or rear elevation yet creates an emphasis on the central amphitheatre plaza of the academic blocks. Furthermore, the idea was to develop a contextually responsive design with the focus on not only satisfying the brief but expanding it by creating a number of semi-covered public spaces.
