Located about 100km from the national capital, the design for this project was the winning entry for an architectural competition. The central idea was to design not just a building but create an environment conducive to learning and encouraging the informal exchange of ideas. The focus was thus not just on the built form but the spaces in between the various building blocks. This idea of creating intellectually stimulating spaces was realised on the basis of two aspects: the more the penetration of nature into the built form, the greater the freedom of circulation, and thus better would be the overall environment. The plan is organised along a main diagonal spine connecting the various buildings at both ground and upper levels.
